Bio

Dr. Eun Joo (Sarah) Park joined Los Alamos National Laboratory in 2017 after earning her Ph.D. in Chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She received her B.Sc. in Chemistry from University of Toronto in 2010, and her M.A. in Science Education in Teachers College, Columbia University in 2012. Her research interests are focused on the synthesis and characterization of functional aromatic polymers used in electrochemical conversion and storage devices. She is currently working on the development of polymer electrolytes for alkaline membrane fuel cells, high temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cells, redox flow batteries and alkaline membrane water electrolyzers. She was the recipient of the Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Post-doctoral research award for 2020.
